NUDIPU ORGPROFILING TRAINING FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ON THE NATIONAL DIGITAL OBSERVATORY
Background of the activity:
As a matter of principle 8TECH employs technology media learning approaches to encourage ubiquitous learning, while NUDIPU applies community based integrated skilling approach. We used a blended approach, which integrates the NUDIPU model and 8Tech approach for maximum benefit. To ensure sustainability and scale out, our training program was designed to build capacity of key players including; District Unions, Local Council Persons with Disabilities representatives and NUDIPU officials to profile and manage their members’ databases using the national digital observatory.
Purpose of the assignment:
The purpose of this assignment was to conduct a digital skills training for district unions and persons with disabilities in the West Nile Region on how to profile and manage their members’ registrar on the National digital observatory.
Sub-activities implemented
· Conduct an awareness program about the programme
· Create users accounts for districts in the observatory.
· Training representatives from district unions how to profile their members’ registrar.
· Awareness and overview of the observatory services (Service providers, guidance and counselling, trainings, jobs and opportunities)
· Train district unions how to manage and regularly update their members’ databases.
· Recorded testimonies of persons with disabilities that have attended the training
Conduct an awareness session on the different types of disabilities according to the Uganda constitution.
